Well i’ve been reading the forums on Allakhazam for a very long time but now it’s time to ask for some help.
Background: I’ve had 2 accounts hacked in the last 4 years, leveled/raided with a BM Hunter & Shadow Priest at 60 before TBC. Leveled/Raided with a tanking Sublet Rogue (shoulda saw me tank heroics with a rogue LOL!) and a Holy Pally. Now i’m on my 3rd account protected with an authenticator, which should help, so I decided to level up a hunter again. In the past i’ve done raiding, BGs, arenas, etc but now it’s time to fly solo and run with my wife at times too. I’m no longer into the numbers topping the DPS charts and all that. Just want to have some fun on the hunter. I’ve already run most of the pre 70 instances with just me and my wife. She’s a resto druid and my gorilla tanks no problem.
So i’m spec’d BM and it’s getting really boring. I know how to play BM very well already and i’m good at it but to the point where i’m losing my mind as it’s not a challenge anymore. Well that and I like BUTTONS! LOL! I’m not necessarily looking for the most survivability or the highest DPS but maybe a mix? Something more fun than just sending the pet in to tank and 3 shotting mobs. I play some PvE and some PvP. If I do instances it just my wife and I but as we’ve found out I don’t need a BM spec for my pet to tank just fine with the wife healing. I’ve been MM and Surv and like both but I have no idea how to play survival tho it’s fun to make things go BOOM with the exploding shot.
With all the changes to hunters, pets, and the new pet talents i’m so utterly confused! Before it was easy to pick a pet but now… I know my problem is my talent, pet, pet combo i’m using but I can’t get around it. It seems like I want more talent points than I have so I need some help.
Question: What is a good MM or Survival talent spec, pet, pet talent spec to use for the following criteria;
Viable for PvP
Viable for PvE 5 mans
Viable for grinding
Lots of fun but not BM
When I say i’m not looking for a spec that’s the best in everything or anything. I’m just looking for a spec that i’ll have a chance in everything with some skill. Every time I make a spec it leans either towards PvE or PvP completely and at 50 gold per respec i’m coming here for help. I’ve already tried numerous builds, about 4 this week alone, but can’t seem to get one that fits what I need. Hoping that you pros can help a confused hunter out!
The first time it happened (in Nexus), I figured the first trap expired, waited for CD, put another down and watched it set. It went down and vanished. I didn’t check on the last trap–I was too busy trying to kite and watching my party wipe spectacularly. I’ll have to check the combat log next time, just in case.

So if you want to use your pet just reset your talents to include the Beast Mastery talent and it should be fine.

I am seriously thinking about never helping in this forum again as i answered the dam question being asked to the best of my ability and get rated down so stf u lot .

my hunter
My hunter is not the best at damage but at least i survive.i tames one of the spirit beast but i stuffed up my talents so i was wondering if i unlearn my talents will i loose my pet
While I’m expting nerfs to the renthanges to Blood, it’s looking like the sp to beat for raiding. II, Blizz mentioned several times that they really want us all to keep diseases in our rotations so I’m guessing we’ll see somehange that will make disease-less less than optimal. But on the PTR it’s very strong so far. Thanks for the Theo.

Waited all weekend to gather some guildies who would help me with the Dire Maul part of quest. I had done everything right and asked a fellow guildie who has the three pies that do not get used after summoning. We go in, do our thing, summon and kill the steed, kill the boss that spawns. I talk to the steed, get the “You are mine now dreadsteed” blah blah blah, no dreadsteed spell in my book, Ian keep talking to it,lking the message but still no steed. Even though I got the quest isomplete message. Opened a tket and sat in DM by myself for aouple of hours waitng. A GM finally w me, I explained what happened and heshe said that the tket will be upgraded to an item spialist. I was so aggravated that I said Thank you and logged for the night. Should be getting an e-mail or in-game tell when it gets resolved. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? I followed all the quests and GOT THE QUEST ISOMPLETE MESSAGE, thats the thing that urks me bause Ian’t even do it over again. Any ideas? Dark

As the subjt suggests, may I ask the Destrtion Warlks who use the said build to impart their Spell Rotation so that I will have a better idea to effientlyast my spells whether it is in a 5-man dungeon instae or inside Karazhan25-man dungeon raids. Thank you for your time.
CoD, then shadow bolt, repeat…a lot. And make sure to use trinketsrials when they’re up. Sometimes you’ll have enough mageslks and what not and you might be stk onoE oroS duty, if so thenast that up and s. bolt away.
unless you’ve got more than 30%rit rate and 1600 +damage in raids, you just use Sb andoD. if you have less you useoD, SB andorruption. if you have less than 25%rit rate and 1000 +damage in raids thenastorruption and immolate. so yeah. basally the rotation for me is. most dest lks i know should use immolate too oDorruption SB loadsorruption sb loadsorruption sb loadsorruption sb a bitoD sb some moreorruption simple 
I am on a near empty server so although there isnt mh for sale in the AH, what is there isheap. Ian buy the best armour in the AH for my level at about 50silver eh. The only problem is selling my own things. Tried to sell the Kaleidoope Nkle whh this site says is worth 100g, I put it on the AH at 50g and didnt get a response. I now need to just hold onto Blues until the server pks up a bit I think.
To the OP , my extra t is get the Ationeer Suite addon , oe you have anned the ation house a few times it will give you a realist pre that thingsan sell at , and lky you in some ways that youan buyheap but then again its not as easy to make gold that way either.
So I started leveling my 70 hunter in boren tundra. I really haven’t played her mh sie getting my rogue to 80 and up to raiding standards was my main priority. But now that I have some time I figured I’d see theontent again (and not rush threw it this time). My mainoern is my pet at) not holding agro. I never had this problem pre-pah. Growl is on, I even let it attk a while to build agro, but just firing auto shotauses me to get agro in about 4-5 shots. I have omen up and I see my threat meter jumping up with eh shot. I have to blow Misdirt every other pull and use FD and Intimidate for the others. Any thoughts on this. I have a BM sp at the moment, but I don’t remember sp’s really effting threat before.
I’ve been wahing all of this a littleloser and Ian verify several ‘bugs’ in the pet stuff now: 1.ower turns on by default on toon load and at various other times (usually after a pet summon mountdismount autosummon). Maybe a mountdismount mroan resolve this. 2. Agressivean turn itself on as well but I have not found aommon thread at all there, seems very intermittant. 3. RakeProwl always keep their settings if they are on the pet bar. So the trulyommon thread seems to be anything that is not on the pet bar but is useable by the pet is unreliable, save for the pet ‘default’ agression level whh is not dependable. I say “hear, hear!” to all thosealling for a Blizz fix on this. It’s extremely annoying and has been lethal to me oe.
I agree with SondHand. Remeber to throw down a nature resist if fighting druid or other shammy, or windwall vs fightinglass.
Not to disagree with you RED, though I will. If you are looking for totems that will give you the most prottion in PVP here goes VS MAGE Grouding to soak up their first strikerit potential, then Earthbind,.. you want to keep themlose as youan keep your shks off ofd so youan ES them the sond you see the hands glow. Use melee fire totem and LBL to burn them down VS LK again Grounding to soak up big dps and a DOT or two,… then qukly tremor, then searing,… as you want more dps on them while you are running,… keep es off ofd so youan silee them out of the fear lking they do VS rouge this is where you use your poisonleansing totem , earthbind, and searing totem. Also keep fire shk on then so theyant vanish and bandage or your SOL VS WAR earthbind to slow GOA to irease your armor , and searing to keep the dmgouting. keep distae and alternate FS and fire shk if you get enough time get a LB orL in. VS druidounter whatever they are doing if they go feral slow and kite, if they goasterlose and dps VS shammy PRAY you have more mana,..lolounter what they do,…asters hate beinglose keep es offd to silee the nukes heals VS hunter,…. frost shk getlose and PWN hunters are nothing but fodder for ourlass. Always keep searing down,.. its dmg youan keep going while your sileed, stunned, feared, e,…. GL have fun
2ndhandsmoke, does make some bas good points, on tot seltion when fighting. This is my bas game plan on dropping tot’s myself. Any meleelass, Earth bind, whh pretty mh means Enh Sham’s, war’s, rogues, e. On rogues, Poison Tot…most rogues I’ve eountered on BG’s don’t use their antiaster poisons, and tend opt for therpling usually, either way…taking away that aspt of their fightingan prove rather annoying to them, whh is great for us As far as wind tot’s goes…this is a toss up. Unless its a for sureaster aster=Grounding tot ofourse), I usually throw down a nature resist (rogue, druid, sham), or a GoA. GoA I only endorse if your enh sp…as others sp’s, there’s not mh thatan help you in the Air totatagory mh. For Fire tot’s, I’m usually putting down searing. If its a Hunter and I run into their snake trap, then I throw down magma (best anti snake trap thing in the game, IMO). cationally I might use a fire nova, just tohange it up (or if I need some quk burst dmg to finish them off. Note for tot’s. Tot’s are “ne” but againt “good” players, espially ones that know a sham’s bag of trks…totemsan be BAD! Sie tot’s baslly have NO HP, andan be 1 shotted, throwing down tot’san and will be taken out QUKLY by ppl that are h to a sham, and know what eh totan do for us. This will basally lead to running us OOM, whh isn’t hard to do thanks to our lk of MP pool depth, at whh point regardless of sp…your SOL! Endurae mahs aren’t something where good at. I sometimes fake some ppl out with a fire nova tot, after a searing tot or ve versa, due to their tivation times and durations.
